Evening Worship at 4 pm

Dear Sandy Springs congregation,

The session has altered tomorrow’s schedule as follows:

CANCEL Sunday school
CANCEL morning worship
CANCEL potluck lunch
CANCEL prayer meeting at the French home
RESCHEDULE Margaret’s baby shower for 2:30 p.m.
RESCHEDULE evening worship for 4:00 p.m.

We seek to prioritize the public worship of God, but also the safety of our members who may try to attend it. The main concern is tonight’s expected refreeze of all the snow, slush, and meltwater already on the ground. (At 15F even salted roads will freeze.) Some of you may have well-cleared routes but others face steep, narrow, or untreated roads. And the church’s gravel parking lot is still blanketed in snow.

Between noon and 6 p.m. tomorrow, temps are supposed to rise above freezing, plus it’ll be daylight, so driving should be safer. But of course you’ll have to judge your own circumstances; if they seem unsafe, please stay home and follow the service via YouTube or Facebook instead.  “The Sixth Commandment requireth all lawful endeavors to preserve our own life, and the life of others” (WSC 68).
